Everything you write stays on this device, in this browser. There's no account, and nothing about you or the person you're writing to is ever sent anywhere — including the check-before-you-send review, which runs entirely on your own device.
Because nothing is backed up anywhere, clearing your browser data or switching devices will lose what's here for good. That trade-off is intentional.
The one exception is the Community page. Reviews and comments you choose to post there are sent to our server so others can read them. They're kept completely separate from your letters, are read by a person before anything appears, and are public once approved. We don't ask for your email and don't store your IP address.
